Following the release of their debut EP "Blue Phases", soul duo LaBlue & Astrønne are back with 5 new tracks, the second part of their project.

With this collection, the young singer Astrønne and the multi-instrumentalist LaBlue plunge us into their sincere and delicate universe.
A veritable introspection - sung in French and English - 'Blue Phases' showcases the sensitivity of a young protagonist, using water as the common thread to narrate his or her emotions.
This vital element is used both figuratively, with the sounds of rain and oscillating waves accompanying the music, and abstractly, as a symbol of movement and life, as in the tracks "Femme du Crépuscule", "Keep It Smooth" and "Liquide".
In contrast, 'Blue' and 'Memories' remind us that our emotions often oscillate between joy and melancholy. The blues found on "Home", "Sous la Pluie" and "Café Paris" are a testament to the sometimes complicated love stories we wish were calmer.

This promising debut from the young duo is a dreamlike journey of neo-soul and jazz tinged with pop.

"After the release of their first EP "Blue Phases", the duo LaBlue & Astrønne are back with 5 new tracks, the second part of their project. Sung in French and in English, this new chapter tells the continuation of this sentimental introspection. We are carried away by the universe of this person who, despite the mundane sounds (Una Mas), manages to isolate herself in her own bubble. It's always and again about water (Liquide), night escapades (Night Ride) and love lost and found (Café Paris, Rose en Hiver), all with a touch of nostalgia and melancholy (Memories).

Like so many others, this came like a bolt out of the blue and, even though it's well before payday, I had to have this astonishing album on vinyl to prove it exists. The feel of the tunes makes me feel like the Impressions do, Curtis Mayfield, the big spaces and instinctive horns and stuff drifting in and out. Great grooves and I can see lots of ghosts nodding along to this with big smiles on their faces. At last! Anthony Cottrell
